*Gouache and watercolour on a tiny canvas: approx. 10.2 cm x 15.2cm (4” x 6”). To protect the painting I rubbed on some Dorlands Wax. I began this painting with a brown watersoluble “Neocolor” crayon, applied with a flourish (and without much of a plan) onto A4 cotton watercolour paper. Then added watercolour and gouache. I drew this with a black inkpen and watersoluble graphite crayon on paper. With my iPad I took a snap of it, then sent it to my inkjet printer. Firstly a quick flourish of my inkpen, then washes of watercolour and a touch of white gouache in the centre of the flower. A page from one of my homemade sketchbooks. A page is A6 (approx. 4” x 6”, 10cm x 15cm) in size.
